This dataset contains the core components of an address to support simple searching or use of this layer to provide context. This dataset has been sourced from LINZ’s Address Information Management System (AIMS), a centralised database for the management of national addresses, including for electoral purposes.
These addresses have been supplemented with addtional information supplied by the Local Councils where available. The location where the address point varies with relation to the data source. LINZ address points will be located near the road, while address points for Waimakariri District Council tend to be located on or near the dwelling in question.
